A Bridge to Somewhere

This week the ADA ramp for the Hooper House became usable.

Everyone loves it.

The staff has taken to calling it “The Bridge,” as it seems so much more than a ramp.

The planning of last week made the work of this week easy.

It took JP about a day and a half to "deck" the ramp.

One of the more challenging aspects of the week for the ramp was making railings that approximately matched the different kind of art deco designs around the place.

Have angles, will cut.

So on a rainy day midweek, JP and Pablo assembled 9 panels for The Bridge in the Shop.

Then on Thursday we painted the remaining posts and railings and tweaked to make things fit. On Monday we’ll install our panels and finish the project up. Check out next week's blog to see the finished product.
